Intern
The Intern is responsible for overall sales and marketing support to the various projects and should assist in building IT environment (CRM, CMS (.net), server set-up, etc). Additionally, the intern will be assisting colleagues where necessary with business development and consultancy activities. This includes exposure to the full lead-to-sales conversion cycle: lead generation, sales follow-up, assisting in preparing quotations, proposals, negotiations, etc. Within projects we expect the intern to support with market research (desk and field research), preparing (consultancy) reports, and other related activities. The intern’s job also includes ensuring that the sales, marketing and consultancy efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.
Direct report: director
Tasks and responsibilities:
Assisting in general, product specific marketing activities such as: cold calling, email marketing and other business development activities of company’s new focus area’s (biotech/pharma, fire and safety, food and beverages)
Working knowledge of MS office is mandatory – MS word, PowerPoint
Article/ report writing skills
Verbal communication – client call handling, follow up mails etc (Support all activities within the lead-to-sales conversion cycle, among others sales lead generation, follow-up and writing of proposals/quotations)
Web surfing and productive results (Assist in consultancy projects by assisting with desk and field research)
Integrate CRM, CMS, collaboration-software, exchange server and other IT applications.
Set-up server (either windows, Linus, or mac).
Necessary skills:
Proactive and result oriented, challenging the status quo.
Creative, out-of-the-box thinking, entrepreneurial mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences
Excellent knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Excellent teamwork skills: ability to work in teams and individually when required.
Proven ability to work on various web based projects (Customer Relationship Management, Customer Management Systems, setting-up exchange server, file-share server, other relevant software packages or servers-applications etc)
Requirements:
Proven track-record of past jobs or extra-curricular activities
Bachelor's degree in IT/ Computer Application/ BBA/ other similar degree
Expected month of joining: January 2010
