The total Indian food consumption market is expected to grow to $344 billion in 2025. Imported food items are becoming increasingly more important within the sector. The import of Food & Beverage items has been growing at an average of 25% per annum during recent years. The F&B sector is one of the industries that strongly benefits from the fast growing middle class population with disposable income levels are growing at enormous rates. The overall F&B industry has a current size of  $135 billion, which represents 62% of all retail expenditures in India. These expenditures take place through the approx 7.5 million existing retail outlets. The urban population spends 43% of income on food related items, these expenditures grow at 10% annually.
